Bios is a non-profit cultural organization established in 2002. Its main ambition is to support and promote cultural expression and learning through the arts, as well as to shape its surrounding urban environment.
We continuously curate and produce innovative events such as concerts, performances, exhibitions, educational programs, installations, festivals, seminars, workshops and creative platforms, attracting more than X visitors every year.
As one of the leading organizations in the field of cultural production in Athens, we have consciously placed our activities in the abandoned historical center, in three main locations: Bios.Pireos84, Romantso and Latraac.
The restoration of Bios.Pireos84 and Romantso, as well as the complete renovation of the old yard that became Latraac, have had a radical effect in the area’s transformation, as these locations have become central poles of cultural attraction.
Bios is also one of the founding members of the first European Creative Hubs Network, a peer-led network with the mission of enhancing the creative, economic and social impact of hubs around Europe and its neighboring countries. As focal points for creative professionals and businesses, hubs offer the most effective way of supporting the growth and development of cultural and creative industries, promote inclusivity, collaboration and create pathways to financial sustainability.
After 18 years of bold presence, the Bios organization keeps evolving and remains committed to its vision of making art accessible to everyone in a vibrant cultural city center.
