we invite you to a party to celebrate the official launch of the "Reframing Images" Competition Section. This new competition section, presented by the Greek Film Archive and the 13th Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival in collaboration with ARTWORKS, showcases debut and second feature films, as well as medium-length and short films from 27 countries. The section features a rich array of genres, including fiction, film essays, creative documentaries, and experimental works—each exploring new forms of storytelling and cinematic expression. The jury for this competition section, consisting of SNF ARTWORKS Moving Image Fellows, Neritan Zinxhiria, Christina Koutsospyrou and Kostis Charamountanis, will determine the film that will receive the ARTWORKS Best Film Award, generously supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), offering €5,000 to the filmmaker whose work best exemplifies innovation and experimentation in moving images.
